Beginning in Salt Lake City, the Northern Rockies is like no other adventure we offer. As you leave the airport, the brilliance of the Wasatch Mountain range above will set the tone for the experience of a lifetime. We will spend the next day climbing at one of the most breathtaking areas of northern Utah - the high lakes region of Wasatch National Forest. By the third day, it is time to get back on the road and continue our journey to Jackson, WY home to the legendary Grand Teton National Park. From brilliant blue skies to the jagged majesty of the Tetons, right down to the sweet smelling valleys of sage below; it is no wonder the park has 4 million visitors a year. We will spend the next few days hiking, swimming, and exploring all ithis amazing natural treasure has to offer. With the Tetons in our wake, we begin our horse-packing journey deep into the heart of the Shoshone National Forest's remote wilderness. After all of the necessary preparations and packing is complete, we will leave all technology behind and ride into the horizon. From emerald lakes to towering cliffs, dense forests to raging rivers, the chance to be so far away from civilization is something most never experience. It is not uncommon in these parts to come across signs of many animals including moose, elk, eagles, bison and coyote. This wild adventure on horseback will be one to remember forever. On the last day of the horse pack, we will break down camp and leave the purity of the wilderness for the western charm of Jackson. Now, back in town, everyone will get a chance to take a well-deserved shower, explore downtown, and CALL THEIR PARENTS! The final adventure of this trip will be a day of whitewater rafting on the Snake River, which ends with a monstrous whitewater section called the "Big Kahuna"; a six foot wall of water that we will ride up and over, crashing back down onto the river below. On the final day the group will travel south back to Utah. This expedition, deep into the heart of Wyoming, will educate, transform, challenge, and enrich you; leaving behind a memory so rich and meaningful it will remain with you forever.
